Hi WAPL Members! It's shaping up to be a busy summer and we are excited to share event dates for our big WAPL Summer Events.
The 2021 annual meeting will be June 18th at 8:30 am at the Three Crowns Golf Club in Casper, Wyoming. The speakers at this years event include Tara Righetti, J.D., CPL, Professor of Law at the University of Wyoming who will be presenting "The Role of Landman Assembling Project for Carbon Storage", Justin Ballard, J.D., CEO & Co-Founder of JAI Energy LLC who will be presenting "Bitcoin Mining Opportunities For Operators" and Pete Obermueller, President of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming who will be presenting "Western Energy Alliance vs. Joseph R. Biden, Jr., etal and the Effects of the Biden Administration in Wyoming."
There are several updates and opportunities from the AAPL and our local AAPL representative Lindsey Dossett we want WAPL members to be aware of including AAPL Mentorships, AAPL Annual Meeting Dates, NAPE Summit Dates and more.
AAPL's Advisory Landman Connection Program reflects AAPL's commitment to professional development. This unique online networking and career development tool helps members find, connect and share experiences with others. An advisor or participant can be located in the same city or on the other side of the world.

The Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the 2021 Scholarship Program and invite all WAPL Members and dependents of WAPL member who are pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities at a certified school, to apply for a 2021 WAPL Scholarship.
1. General Area of Study – Maximum of $1,000.00
2. Energy Business (e. g. Geologist, Petroleum Engineer) – Maximum of $2,000.00
3. Professional Land Management – Maximum of $3,000.00
4. University of Wyoming, Professional Land Management – Maximum of $5,000.00
On October 21st join your fellow WAPL members for a fun mixer at the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center in Cheyenne, the night before the AAPL Field Landman Seminar. The mixer will be held from 6-8pm, drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. We hope to see you there!
These are definitely interesting and unprecedented times which made it all the more meaningful to see everyone at the Powder Horn.
