2020 Annual Meeting Webinars

WAPL recognizes the impact and uncertainty that COVID-19 is creating in our industry and communities.

Given the uncertainty of this virus, the WAPL Executive Committee unanimously voted to cancel the venue for the 2020 WAPL Annual Meeting that was scheduled to be held in Casper, Wyoming, on June 12th.

The health and safety of all our attendees is our highest priority.

In place of an in-person Annual Meeting this year, we will hold a webinar on Friday, June 12th from 8:00-11:45 AM MST.

A total of three (3) continuing education credits through the AAPL will be offered. Thank you for your support of this event and your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation. WAPL Donates to Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies

WAPL has several important announcements for members relating to COVID-19.

The planned April WAPL/AAPL Field Landman Seminar & Networking Event in Cheyenne originally scheduled for April 8 & 9th has been postponed to a date to be later determined due to COVID-19. We will provide announcements when a new date has been selected.

The WAPL Scholarship Program deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 30, 2020 due to COVID-19 as well, so please spread the word that we are still accepting scholarship entries through the month of April.

Now Accepting 2020 WAPL Scholarships

The Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen Scholarship Committee wishes to announce the 2020 Scholarship Program and invite all dependents of W.A.P.L. members, and additionally, all current W.A.P.L. members who are pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities at a certified school, to apply. The deadline has been extended to April 30, 2020.

WAPL would like to encourage members to participate in this years’ AAPL awards program by submitting nominations from our local association for the following awards:

• Pioneer
• Lifetime Achievement
• Landman of the Year
• Local Association of the Year
• Best Member Communication
• Best AAPL Director’s Communication
• Special Awards (Education, AAPL Committee Member, Community Service & Other)
• Best Newsletter/Bulletin

AAPL’s RPL / CPL Education Committee is beginning a concentrated search for new presenters for the Oil and Gas Land Review Seminars. 

Interested members should download, complete and submit the informational sheet / application below. Please note applications must be submitted for review by Friday, November 1, 2019 for consideration.
